SV	Wij weten, dat wij uit God zijn, en dat de gehele wereld ligt in het boze.

ASV	We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one.
BE	We are certain that we are of God, but all the world is in the power of the Evil One.

Darby	We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].
